Our Focus

Home From Home Care is unlike any other social care provider and we have a particular focus on helping the individuals to live their lives to the fullest.

Social Interaction

Recognising and supporting what is effective social interaction for each individual is part of our ‘The World On My Terms’ philosophy. This includes enjoying life as part of their local community where they can meet and interact with new people as well as social interaction in their shared communal spaces at home. Compatibility is key, both between individuals living in a home and with their support team. We regularly create opportunities for individuals to socialise and try new experiences and activities and know that friendships can be built on a shared interest, such as visiting the same café or pub together, a love of Disney music or even rock climbing!

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

Bespoke care plans for individuals with complex behaviours that challenge, created by our PBS team working alongside the individual’s core team and clinical psychologists.

An Ordinary Life

Many people take an ‘ordinary life’ for granted, but for the adults we support, it can be something to aspire to. Enabling people to enjoy the freedom and autonomy of doing everyday things has a powerful effect on their wellbeing - both mental and physical. Whether it’s popping to the shops, taking up a new hobby or simply loading the dishwasher, we empower the individuals in our care to take charge of their lives by embracing every day.

Our Voices

We have a self-advocacy group for individuals, giving a voice to everyone on ‘their terms’. The Our Voices group plans activities, events and opportunities for everyone we support, as well as the wider community.
