Home From Home Care is a family led company providing specialist Residential Care for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an organisation whose ethos is about quality, fairness, transparency, and collaborative working. We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our office in Wells, Somerset. This is a full time, permanent position (40 hours per week).

 

Responsibilities:

Sorting and checking incoming invoices for accuracy and inputting onto sage.

Producing creditors list weekly for payment approval and liaising with suppliers regarding payment.

Inputting payments and accessing reports on online banking.

Updating cashbooks and VAT reporting.

Coding invoices over a range of departments and projects – facilitating an improvement in our capital expenditure reporting.

Bank, Creditors & Supplier reconciliations.

Recording of energy usage for reporting & SECR requirements.

Recording purchases/repayments and analysis of spend for budgeting purposes.

Working with the finance team to ensure timely reporting to management and assisting with end of month procedures.

Experience and attributes required:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word etc).

Experience with Sage Accounting systems (or similar software) preferred.

Able to work as part of a team in a small office as well as being able to work autonomously.

Confident in working to tight deadlines and delivering high quality information in a fast-paced environment.

High standard of literacy and numeracy.

A willingness to learn and to communicate effectively across all levels.
