Settlement and Support Worker Level 2/3
Are you passionate about helping others achieve?
The individuals we support want the people who support with them to listen, care for them and most importantly help them enjoy the same things you enjoy doing.
Do you think you could be the support worker they are looking for?
Support workers at Home From Home Care help individuals to get involved in a huge range of activities – from the adventurous, such as rock climbing and horse riding, to the more day-to-day, such as shopping and supporting them to clean their home.
We all take for granted the ability to go shopping, for a walk in the park or catching up with friends. For many vulnerable people these everyday activities are beyond their reach, we support individuals to overcome significant barriers and live an ‘ordinary life’.
What is a Settlement and Support Worker?
The role of a Settlement and Support Worker focuses on working with individuals moving into their new home. This requires someone who is willing to work flexibly to meet the individual’s needs, supporting them to achieve outcomes. Health and Social Care Level 3 is preferred but not essential. However relevant and recent experience in a similar role is needed.
Would you like to work somewhere which offers a different approach to care?
Home From Home Care provide fully personalised, homely environments for the individuals we support and design staff teams around the individual’s needs. If an individual needs a particular piece of equipment, an adapted vehicle or customised furniture, it will be provided.
Our unique IT communication system supports your work, recording and analysing, as well as providing a valuable predictive system.
Some days will be tough but the rewards can be incredible.
