Out and About

Days out at Home from Home Care

As summer comes to a close, we are taking advantage of every moment of sunny weather by getting out and about.

And what better way to celebrate a warm day than by going for an ice cream, as one individual did recently. Visiting Daisy Made Farm in Lincoln, they had the chance to enjoy a traditionally made ice cream, made using milk from the cows on the farm. There was also the chance to meet goats, calves, rabbits and guniea pigs at the petting zoo on site.

The coast is also a firm favourite for a day trip and Spurn Point – Yorkshire’s ‘Land’s End’ – is a beautiful wildlife area within an easy distance from Lincolnshire. The area has been drawing visitors for generations, and with attractions such as accessible paths and educational exhibits it makes a great day out.

On more overcast days the aquarium has been a big hit – sheltering from the rain and wind whilst exploring the world under the sea. Visiting the aquarium is a great sensory experience as well, with lots of lights, the sound of water and the beautiful underwater creatures to observe.

Whatever the weather, individuals are supported to enjoy their local area every day at Home From Home Care. From trips to attractions and events, to more day-to-day outings such as food shopping – individual’s evolving needs and aspirations are always fulfilled, to ensure they live an ordinary life.
