Christmas is certainly a magical time of the year at Home From Home Care, with staff and individuals joining together last week for a fun-filled Polar Express party!
Having chosen their theme, individuals enjoyed making all the party decorations in arts and crafts sessions leading up to the event – from Polar Express carriage props and snowflakes to festive table centres and wreaths.
Bracebridge Heath Village Hall was then transformed into a magical Polar Express experience, with home-made decorations on display, festive table settings and a surprise Santa’s Grotto! Individuals from across Home From Home Care enjoyed celebrating together, sharing a festive feast, dancing at the disco and visiting Santa and his Elves to receive a personalised gift.
All the social events held throughout the year are planned to be as inclusive as possible. As part of the Christmas party, a quieter low stimulation session was also available, ensuring that everyone could join in the fun on their own terms.
We are now looking forward to more celebrations over the festive period and lots more activities and achievements in 2020!
