Home from Home Care Stand

Preparing for a child to enter adulthood can be a daunting time for most parents, but for those with children who have learning difficulties or complex needs it can be overwhelming.

Home From Home Care will be attending The What’s Next Fair on 18th October at Fosse Way School in Bath to speak to parents about transitioning and to help them to understand the process and the various options available to their son or daughter.

HFHC’s Marketing Manager, Anna Selby-Wells, explains: “The move from child to adult services can be be a very worrying time for parents, there are so many options and a lot of very important things to consider. Events like The What’s Next Fair play a vital part in providing the information required to ensure parents can make the best decision for their son or daughter.

“What is right for one person is not necessarily right for someone else, after all, everyone is unique. We look forward to meeting parents and discussing whether Home From Home Care could be the next step for them.”

The event is being hosted by BANES Council and the SEND Parent Partnership which provides information, support and advice to parents and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities on matters relating to education, disabilities and health and social care.

As well as Home From Home Care, also in attendance will be colleges, Project SEARCH, supported living services and Bath Rugby Foundation.
